We began by providing short-term bridge loans for operating businesses secured by owner-occupied real estate. As we grew, we expanded to all types of commercial transactions, including land redevelopment, investment properties, agricultural assets, and more.
Word of our services spread quickly among clients and professional networks, attracting interest from business owners and real estate professionals seeking access to the loans we facilitated. To meet growing demand, the core team at Iron Gate Capital formalized the company. We are now a registered private mortgage lender in Ontario, with over $10 million in private mortgages and a steadily expanding presence across the Fraser Valley and beyond.
Our Origins
Iron Gate Capital was founded when our team, working as commercial brokers, recognized the challenge of securing private debt for commercial real estate transactions. Traditional lenders often focus on residential mortgages, leaving a gap for solid commercial deals.
Believing in the quality of the deals we sourced, we began lending our own capital to clients when other financing options were unavailable. Over time, we expanded these opportunities to include third-party investors, creating a broader platform for commercial lending.
